Punta del Diablo is a journey to the sea. Here there are no cellular phones, computers, bosses, or subordinates. You won't find four-star hotels, or two stars or one; just inns and cabins and rustic hostels that expand in anarchy among the rocks and along the dunes that reach the sea.
Crafts and craftsmen have found their place in Punta del Diablo at the edge of the sea. At the tip of a rocky point a craft fair has been set up with stands that display all kinds of craft work done with sea shells, wood, ceramics, and starfish for the tourists.
At night, besides the fair, unique and cozy seaside restaurants offer dinners of delicious seafood meals and excellent mixed drinks which are usually enjoyed until the sun comes up.
Fishing is also synonymous with Punta del Diablo. Here the traditional fishermen who moor their colorful boats on the coast depend upon sharks, which are their main catch, as they wait upon the whims of the weather in order to go out in search of them. This may be observed by visitors that are early to rise, or by those who await the return of dozens of men in the afternoon with the catch of the day from the beautiful and respected sea.
The Hostels for backpackers of Punta del Diablo are an inexpensive lodging option where you´ll be able to meet people in the same situation as you, who are looking for entertainment and a fun time.
